winter

January 4th, 2010

There’s a new vote incentive! Whatever happened to vote incentive Tuesdays, you wonder? Me too : / . It’s kind of become vote incentive whenever it happens. Anyway, the new incentive is Natalie’s next outfit change…mysterious : ). Natalie changes her clothes like a girl. Maybe the next vote incentive will be Kip’s next outfit change.

Natalie’s dad has made an appearance. A lot of her physical characteristics take after her father, but her cleaning habits…? Maybe not as much. Still, I don’t doubt she could tolerate her dad’s apartment more than I could.  Natalie’s mother is blond-ish, though whether or not that is natural remains to be said.

I (listened to) “The Cricket on the Hearth” by Charles Dickens the other day. It was the first time I’ve ever heard that story, and it was so good. I love how Dickens is so set on making sure we know what happens to everybody at the end of his stories. He’ll go into crazy detail about what everybody does after everything’s been resolved. It might not be good for all stories, but somehow I really appreciate it when he does it.

I also went snowshoeing with my dad and brother yesterday, and that is another experience I would enjoy repeating. We trekked on the outskirts of our town. My hometown is in the northern half of the United States and we get tons and tons of snow. Walking through the woods after and during a snowfall was like walking through a million hallways of an enormous palace built of trees and snow. We had to keep to a tight trail, but we could see through the branches at how vast everything was. It definitely made me want to draw.
